Keywords:
multimedia technology, AI, virtual and augmented reality, multimedia compression, and adaptive streamingAbstract
Recent developments in multimedia technology have fundamentally altered the creation, processing, transmission, and consumption of digital content. Rapid advancements in high-efficiency video coding, immersive media, AI-driven content analysis, and real-time streaming have improved user experiences in a wide range of fields, such as entertainment, education, healthcare, and communication systems. New technologies like virtual and augmented reality, 3D audio-visual systems, and adaptive multimedia distribution have made interactivity and personalisation even better. Also, combining machine learning and deep learning has made systems for multimedia compression, object recognition, emotion detection, and content recommendation better. This article talks about recent changes in multimedia technology, points out important problems including optimising bandwidth, security, privacy, and quality of service, and talks about future research that will make multimedia systems smarter, more efficient, and more immersive.
