Financial statement analysis is an essential tool for evaluating the financial performance and overall health of an organization. Ratio analysis helps in interpreting financial statements by measuring liquidity, profitability, solvency, and operational efficiency. The present study, titled “A Study on Financial Statement Analysis Using Ratio Analysis: A Case Study of Masulipatnam Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd., Machilipatnam,” aims to assess the financial performance of the bank using selected financial ratios. The study is based on secondary data collected from the published annual reports and financial statements of the bank for a period of five consecutive years. Various ratios, including liquidity, profitability, solvency, and turnover ratios, are calculated and analyzed to evaluate the bank's financial position and operating performance. The analysis provides insights into the bank's ability to meet short-term obligations, maintain financial stability, utilize its resources efficiently, and generate sustainable profits. The findings indicate that the bank has maintained a satisfactory financial position during the study period, although certain fluctuations were observed in some financial ratios. The study concludes that ratio analysis is an effective technique for assessing the financial performance of co-operative banks and provides valuable information to management, investors, depositors, regulators, and other stakeholders for informed decision-making and future financial planning.
