Abstract

Computer education has become a fundamental component of modern schooling, playing a crucial role in preparing students for a digitally driven society. Despite its inclusion in school curricula, the implementation of computer education in many schools—particularly in developing countries—faces numerous challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, insufficient teacher training, outdated curricula, and unequal access to technology. This study aims to analyse the current status of computer education implementation in schools and propose strategic recommendations for its effective improvement. Using a descriptive and analytical research design, data were collected from secondary schools through questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal significant gaps between policy intentions and classroom practices. Based on the results, this paper proposes strategic recommendations focusing on infrastructure development, teacher capacity building, curriculum reform, administrative support, and policy-level interventions. The study concludes that a coordinated, multi-stakeholder approach is essential to ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of computer education in schools.
