This study investigates the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing frameworks across modern middle- and back-office banking operations to elevate operational efficiency, system scalability, and service reliability. While existing literature heavily emphasizes front-office customer interfaces, this paper addresses the underlying infrastructure requirements and operational workflows driving back-end digital transformation. Utilizing a qualitative research design, data was collected through 10 semi-structured interviews with senior IT executives, heads of digital transformation, and senior technology managers across commercial banks in major metropolitan hubs. Detailed thematic analysis revealed four core dimension themes: workflow automation latency, human-in-the-loop escalation frameworks, cloud infrastructure scalability, and privacy-by-design compliance architectures. The empirical findings provide financial leadership with an actionable enterprise IT architecture blueprint to balance automated speed with robust data governance and regulatory compliance.
