Abstract

Mechanical analog for electrical systems in power system are not new. Researchers have then extended it ranging from small system to large power systems. In this paper, mechanical analog of short transmission line with lumped parameters is considered under two cases namely, Line-ground fault with non-zero fault impedance and Load as function of time. The stability under every case is studied using Layapunov’s direct method. The results are simulated in MATLAB, and justification is done by plotting rate of change of potential function with time
